The fire in the Comayagua Prison Farm could have been caused by a short circuit, according to the spokesman for the Ministry of Security, Hector Ivan Mejia. The fire started about 22:55 am Tuesday (04:55 GMT on Wednesday), the report of the Fire Department.
The scenes outside the prison farm are heartbreaking among relatives of the victims, many of them in their pain want this same Wednesday they delivered the bodies, A revolt would have started at 10:50 at night but it was not until 11:30 that the Fire Department could begin to control the incident. Most of the victims would have died by burning and suffocation.
